What types of ski passes are available?

We offer ski passes to suit all types of visitors:

What discounted rates are available?

Does my child under 5 need a ski pass?

Yes. Anyone using the ski lifts must have a valid pass.

Children under 5 receive a free pass upon presentation of proof of age at the ticket office or by uploading it online.

How does dynamic pricing work?

Prices vary according to demand and when you purchase.

The earlier you book, the better your chances of getting the best price on standard passes from 4 hours to 14 days.

Is there a pass for non-consecutive ski days?

Yes. The FLEX Pass lets you ski for 4 to 6 non-consecutive days.

What durations are eligible for the Tribu offer?

There is no separate Tribu pass. The Tribu discount applies to passes from 6 to 14 consecutive days, subject to conditions (4 paid passes of the same duration).

When is the Tribu discount displayed?

The discount is calculated and displayed once the skiers' details have been entered (surname, first name and date of birth).

When does a 4-hour pass start?

The 4 hours start when you first pass through a lift access gate.

Example: first lift access at 10:22 am = pass valid until 2:22 pm.

Is night skiing included in the ski passes?

The day pass and 4-hour pass do not include night skiing.

Nordic skiing is included with the LIB Pass, Season Pass, Magic Pass and stay passes of 6 days or more.

Which pedestrian passes are available?

Pedestrian passes are available for using the lifts without skiing: return trip, day pass or 6-day pass.

They also provide access to the sledging run via the Rosay gondola.

Do the 6 pedestrian days have to be consecutive?

No. The 6-day pedestrian pass can be used whenever you like during the season.

What are the benefits of the 6-day pedestrian pass?
  • Great-value rate for week-long stays
  • Non-consecutive days
  • Non-personal pass
Can the 6-day pedestrian pass be lent to someone else?

Yes. Unlike the other passes, it is not personalised. Please note that you must wait approximately 15 minutes between two uses.

Which lifts are included in the Discovery Pass?

The Discovery Pass gives access to:

  • Rosay and La Joyère gondolas
  • Charmieux, La Taverne and Le Châtelet chairlifts
  • Les Raiches, La Côte, Les Combes, Les Arces and La Mulaterie drag lifts
  • Castor beginner lift
  • Alpage Express and Outalays magic carpets
Is the single ski ascent suitable for beginners?

Yes. It is particularly suitable for beginners and one-hour private lessons.

We recommend asking your ski instructor for advice before purchasing.

Is the paragliding pass valid for a tandem flight?

No. One pass is valid for one person only.

Two passes are required for a tandem flight.

Which lifts can I use with the paragliding pass?

The pass allows unlimited use during the day of:

  • Rosay gondola
  • Lachat chairlift
Which lifts can I use with the ski touring pass?

One-time access on:

  • Rosay gondola
  • Le Châtelet chairlift
  • Maroly chairlift (or Terres Rouges)
  • Les Annes chairlift

Return possible at any time via:

  • La Duche chairlift
  • Le Châtelet chairlift

This pass is intended for access to the Gramusset refuge when ski touring .

Are the ski touring routes secured?

The routes are marked but not supervised.

Does the ski touring pass give access to alpine ski slopes?

No. It is exclusively for the ski touring routes.

Where can I buy the ski touring pass?

Only at a ticket office, so that our team can advise you.

The price is the same for all age categories.


🛒 Buying my ski pass

How can I buy or reload my ski pass?

You can purchase or reload your ski pass online in just a few clicks.

Why should I buy my ski pass online?
  • You can benefit from very attractive prices thanks to our dynamic pricing system, as well as the following advantages:

  • No waiting at the ticket office
  • Immediate reload of your ski card

Can I reload an old ski card?

Yes, if your ski card is compatible (in particular, cards beginning with 01-1614...).

I don't have a ski card. What should I do?

When purchasing online, indicate that you need a card.

You can then collect your pass from the self-service machines using the QR code received by email.

Where can I collect an online order?

From the resort's self-service machines using the code or QR code received by email.

There is no need to visit a ticket office when reloading a card.

Where can I buy a ski pass in resort?

At the ticket offices and self-service machines located in the Village and Chinaillon. However, we recommend buying online to benefit from advance-purchase discounts and avoid waiting at the ticket office.

Which payment methods are accepted?

Online:

  • Bank card
  • Chèques-Vacances Connect
  • Interest-free instalment payments with Alma for purchases of €400 or more

At the ticket office:

  • Bank card
  • Cheques
  • Cash
  • Chèques-Vacances Classic (paper)

Coupons Sport are not accepted.

How can I get an invoice?

From your customer account:

If you did not retrieve it when making your purchase, contact the sales department with your proof of purchase.

Can several ski passes be loaded onto the same ski card?

No. Each skier needs their own ski card.

Where can I buy a DUO Pass?

The DUO Pass is available from the ticket office.

You will need to provide:

  • A photo of both people (faces only)
  • The surnames and first names of both users
Do I need two insurance policies for a DUO Pass?

No. The skier using the pass is automatically covered by the associated insurance.


⛷️ Using my ski pass

Are ski passes personal?

Yes. All passes are personal, named, non-transferable and may not be resold.

Exceptions:

  • 6-day pedestrian pass
  • Single ski ascent (1 access)
  • DUO Pass (shared between the two registered users)
Can I lend my ski pass to someone else?

No, except for the passes listed above that are specifically intended for sharing.

Proof of identity may be requested during checks.

How does the insurance offered with my ski pass work?

It notably covers:

  • Ski patrol rescue costs
  • Trip interruption

What are the resort opening dates?

The resort is scheduled to open continuously from 12 December 2026 to 11 April 2027. Pre-opening weekends are planned for 28 November and 5 December 2026, subject to snow conditions.

How can I check slope conditions in real time?

Slope and lift openings, as well as weather information, are updated daily on our website.

Where can I find the piste map?

Which slope is open for night skiing?

Night skiing takes place on the Charmieux slope in Chinaillon, from 5 pm to 8 pm.

Are there beginner areas?

Yes. Several specially designed areas are dedicated to beginners. More information

Can I use the lifts with a baby?

Doctors recommend not going above 1,700 metres before the age of 15 months.

Please plan your stay accordingly.

It is strictly forbidden to board a lift or ski with a child strapped to you (on your front or back, for example).

Are dogs allowed?

In summer, dogs may be allowed on the lifts subject to staff approval depending on:

  • The size of the animal
  • How busy the lift is

Dogs must be kept on a lead on the lifts and in the mountains.

In winter, dogs are not allowed on the lifts , except on the Rosay gondola with approval from the lift attendant, and only to access the restaurants served by the gondola. Dogs are strictly prohibited on all other lifts and on the ski area.

Are there lockers for equipment?

Yes.

Secure lockers  are available:

  • At Rosay (Village)
  • At Charmieux (Chinaillon)

❗ I need help

I've lost my ski pass. What should I do?

Go to a ticket office with your paper or digital proof of purchase.

A replacement may be issued subject to an administration fee.

Can I modify or cancel my order?

You will find all the information you need in this section .

Is a ski pass purchased online refundable?

Unused passes purchased online may be refunded in accordance with the applicable conditions.

What happens if the resort closes?

Compensation may only be granted if all ski lifts are completely shut down for more than half a day.

A request must be submitted to the sales team in accordance with the terms set out in the Terms and Conditions of Sale.

What are the emergency numbers?

The resort's emergency numbers are displayed on signs throughout the ski area and at information points.

What are the essential safety rules on the slopes?
  • Adapt your speed to your ability.
  • Remain in control of your direction.
  • Give priority to skiers downhill from you.
  • Only stop in clearly visible areas.
  • Follow all signs and markings.
  • Wearing a helmet is recommended.
  • In the event of an accident, secure the area and contact the ski patrol.

Handiski

Who is eligible for Handiski membership?

People who can provide proof of disability.

Is my membership from previous years still valid?

Yes. It remains valid and can be reloaded once the season opens.

Do I need to provide proof each time I purchase a pass?

No. Once your membership has been approved, the discount remains linked to your account.

How can I reload a Handiski pass?
  • Online from your account
  • At the ticket office on presentation of your disability card or Le Grand-Bornand Handiski membership.
Does the accompanying person always have to be the same person?

No.

The accompanying person's pass is not named, provided that the need for assistance is stated on the disability documentation.

Are two ski cards required?

Yes:

  • One for the beneficiary
  • One for the accompanying person (if the need for assistance is stated on the disability card).
I've lost my Handiski ski card

A new card can only be issued at the ski area office (388 route de la Vallée du Bouchet) on presentation of the required supporting documents.

Magic Pass

Why choose the Magic Pass?
  • The Magic Pass gives you unlimited access to Le Grand-Bornand and around 100 partner resorts in summer and winter, at a very attractive price, especially if you buy it during the March Super Promo period.
How can I buy a Magic Pass?

Purchase is made directly on the official Magic Pass website.

Which pass should I get for my child born in 2021 or later?

Magic Pass is not available for children under 6.

Upon presentation of proof of family relationship and one parent's Magic Pass, a Le Grand-Bornand ski pass is provided free of charge.

How long does delivery take?
  • Processing within 2 days after the required information has been submitted
  • Approximately 4 working days in Switzerland
  • Approximately 7 to 10 working days in France

I've lost my Magic Pass

A replacement can be requested:

  • At a partner resort

LIB Pass

How does the LIB Pass work?

The LIB Pass works like an electronic toll system:

  • Go straight to the lifts
  • Automatic detection
  • Weekly billing
  • Preferential rates
What are the benefits?
  • Automatic discounts
  • 8th ski day free
  • Then one free day for every 4 additional ski days
  • Night skiing included
  • Additional 5% discount for 3 or more people on a single account
How can I join the LIB scheme?

Membership is completed online only and requires:

  • Personal details
  • Recent photograph
  • Proof of age
  • Bank card
Can I lend my LIB card to someone else?

No. It is strictly personal and named.

Any fraudulent use will result in charges, with no refund possible.

I've lost my LIB card

Report the loss to a ticket office as soon as possible. Do not purchase another pass as a replacement: it will not be refunded or counted towards loyalty benefits.

The card will be deactivated and replaced for a fee.

Season passes

Is the Season Pass valid outside Le Grand-Bornand?

No.

If you want access to several ski areas, the Magic Pass is the suitable alternative.

Can I cancel my Season Pass?

Yes, provided it has never been used.

The request must be sent to the sales department before the end of the season.

Groups and companies

Are group ski passes available?

Yes.

Groups of 20 people or more benefit from preferential rates.
